Join Us!

Join the Lismorahaun Singers, with newly appointed Musical director, Peter O’Donohue, for an exciting start to their Autumn Season on Tuesday 10 September!

We are actively seeking new members with all voice ranges including soprano, alto, tenor and bass. This inclusive choir is open to all, regardless of singing experience. While prior music reading is helpful, it’s not necessary as the choir provides extensive support to all new members.

Rehearsals take place every Tuesday evening from 7.15 to 915pm at St John’s Hall in Ballyvaughan.

For more information, contact secretary Anne O’Toole, to keep informed about upcoming events before rehearsals begin, or simply drop by one of their open practices this September.

Contact Ann O’Toole at 089 242 1645 or email at lismorahaun.secretary@gmail.com

New Musical Director, Peter O’Donohue

Lismorahaun Singers are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter O Donohue to the role of Musical Director this September 2024.

As a performer, Peter has toured internationally as part of ‘The Young Irish Tenors’ and has performed with every major opera company in Ireland, with solo performances in oratorios such as Mozarts ‘Mass in C’ and ‘Requiem’.

As a teacher, he has a great fascination with the human voice and specialises in vocal health and caters for singers from beginner to professional levels.

At ten years old Peter  was one of the first members of the Lismorahaun Singers under the leadership of its original MD (and founder ) Archie Simpson so his return as Musical Director this September is a cause for joy and excitement for the coming season.

Welcome Return, David McEntee

Lismorahaun Singers are thrilled to see the return of music composer and educator, David McEntee, as accompanying pianist for the forthcoming season.

David has been teaching piano and music theory for over 10 years and holds a diploma in Teaching and Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He is also an accomplished concert soloist and has performed in master classes with distinguished pianists, including Barry Douglas and Pavel Nerssesi.
